Overview:
The brass stop valve is a type of valve mainly made of brass (a copper-zinc alloy). It is widely used in industrial pipeline systems such as ships, petroleum, chemical engineering, and HVAC, for cutting off, regulating, and throttling fluid media. The valve disc moves vertically along the center line of the valve seat, and the opening and closing of the passage changes through the proportional control of the stroke. It has the characteristics of short opening and closing stroke (about 1/4 of the channel diameter), strong sealing performance, and high wear resistance.
This product is manufactured using a brass forging process. The core components such as the valve body and valve cover are all made of brass. Some models are equipped with polytetrafluoroethylene or rubber sealing structures.
The working pressure is 1.6 MPa, and the applicable temperature range is from -20℃ to 150℃. It is compatible with water, oil, gas and other media.
The nominal diameter is usually between DN15 and DN250. For diameters below 150mm, the medium flows in from below the valve disc; for diameters above 200mm, it flows in the opposite direction.
Some models comply with standards such as GB/T 13927 and ISO 228, and the flange or threaded connection forms are suitable for different industrial scenarios.
